Release Notes – frogOS 1.7.8

A major release for all frogblue IP devices, delivering deeper MOBOTIX integration, a redesigned menu and call/event engine, the new System HealthCheck, and direct Bluetooth backup mode.

frogOS 1.7.8 is a major release for all frogblue IP devices - frogTerminal, frogStation, and frogDisplay - delivering deeper MOBOTIX integration, a redesigned menu and call/event engine, the new System HealthCheck, direct Bluetooth backup mode for ultra-reliable door access, and a substantial set of stability and security improvements.

This release is delivered alongside frogAccess 1.0, frogSIP App 1.3, and frogWare / frogProject 1.10.2.

Note: Some new features require the complete system to be updated

Your frogTerminal, frogStation, or frogDisplay will continue to work after updating to frogOS 1.7.8 even if other components are not yet on the latest versions. However, the following new features only become fully available once the whole system is updated:

  • System HealthCheck requires frogWare 1.10.2 on the frogs
  • frogAccess cloud remote control requires the next-generation Bluetooth Mesh platform frogWare 1.10.2 and the frogAccess 1.0 app and frogOS 1.7.8 for all frogblue IP devices
  • Direct Bluetooth backup mode requires frogSIP 1.3 on mobile devices and frogWare 1.10.2 on the frogs and frogOS 1.7.8 for all frogblue IP devices

To get the full benefits of this release, ask your frogblue partner about updating the complete system. Updating the Bluetooth Mesh modules must be performed by a certified frogblue installer, partner, or Competence Center.
